Celebs Who Eat Inssects

It’s hard to find celebrities eating out like common peeps but it’s downright shocking, disgusting and amazing at the same time when you find that some of them LOVE feasting on insects and bugs.

Yes, it’s not just Jolie and her family who like to snack on fried ants, some famous faces are a big fan of smoked grasshoppers, sautéed crickets and grilled cockroaches.

While some do it as a stunt, others find these edible bugs to be full of nutrient value. Scientists, all around the world, are urging people to turn to entomophagy (the practice of eating insects) for the future of plants and other animals.

Insects are now being deemed as appetising mini- livestock's to protect the environment and improve health.

According to a study by Quartz Media, 2 billion people eat insects around the world, primarily in Africa, Asia, and Latin America — some because of no other option and some as part of their heritage.
It's hard to believe but studies have proved that some edible bugs provide a sizable portion of the needed daily dose of protein, calcium, zinc and iron. They also emit fewer greenhouse gases than traditional livestock and they’re everywhere.

In case you need some more reasons to try out a fried cricket, a famous celebrity thinks eating insects is the future of healthy eating. Keep scrolling to find out who said that.

1. Zac Efron

To prove his love for exotic food, the Baywatch actor dropped by the George Lopez show and ate a Scorpio on a toast and rated it ‘really good’. He also tried a Taiwanese cricket and declared it the ‘best one’ — bravery, publicity or honesty, we’re impressed, Efron!
